Any search online will bring up a multitude of subliminal songs. i.e. songs with subliminal messages in them.

You can find anything from classics such as the Led Zeppelin stairway to heaven subliminal messages to the modern popstarts such as Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Justin Timberlake using them.

There is debate whether subliminal messages are intentionally inserted in their music or whether it is just coincidence. Most musicians simply deny using them. However when you watch some of these music videos or listen to the songs in reverse there are some pretty clear subliminal messages which can be heard. Messages which sound just too clear to be an accident or just in there by chance.

The craze of subliminal messages in songs started in 1967 when Led Zeppelins released “Stairway to Heaven”. people analysed the video and claimed there were hidden satanic messages where the line starts “so there's a bushell in your hedgerow”. “Here's to my Sweet Satan” was the message revealed when playing the track backwards. This caused massive public outcry, and a lot of anger from religous commnities - but Led Zeppelin stayed quiet and didn't say a word.

But the denial was irrelevant, phenomenon of subliminal backmasking in songs was created!

People started looking for messages, while more artists started putting them in their music. Subliminals have since been found in:

Britney Spears – telling people “sleep with me I’m not too young” in her first single.

Nirvana – a message saying “I hate you” in their hit single Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Tupac – telling people that he is still alive.

Queen – suggesting Marijuana use.

Lady Gaga – saying “have sex” in her debut single.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, musicians have been doing this for nearly 40 years! There are hundreds of examples spanning all genres, and most of the big named popstars! To watch all these videos and more visit our subliminal video blog and view the entire subliminal songs collection.
